Zero Messenger
Not ready yet
What Zero Messenger cannot do yet.
This is the whole list of what a person would reasonably expect and not get today. It is on the site rather than in a changelog because you are about to decide whether to wait for this, and you cannot make that decision from a page that only lists the good parts.
Read it before you join.
- iPhone and iPadThe app is not shipped for iOS or iPadOS. Everything else here assumes a phone that is not an iPhone, or a desktop.not shipped
- A ring when the app is force-stoppedYour device rings while the app is running or backgrounded. Waking a force-stopped app needs a push credential the product does not hold, so until then a force-stopped phone stays silent.blocked
- Encryption at restYour threads are owner-only on disk and no other account on the machine can read them — but they are not enciphered. Anyone holding your unlocked machine holds your messages.not done
- Microphone and camera on real hardwareThe call stack passes its tests end to end with no device attached. No microphone has yet been heard and no camera round-trip has been walked on real hardware.built, never walked
- Screen share and camera flipReal on macOS and Android. On Windows and Linux the app says plainly that it is unavailable rather than pretending to share.partial
- Starting on a desktop aloneFirst run still needs a phone that already runs zero — show a code, use an invite, or scan one. Somebody who owns only a laptop cannot start yet.partial
- A settings screen for your twinWhether your AI may answer for you is off by default and genuinely enforced, but there is no screen to see or change that policy from inside the product.missing screen
- Some controls on Windows and LinuxThe desktop apps run, but a few controls the product draws — the notification toggles among them — have no equivalent widget in those two shells yet, so those particular screens are incomplete there.partial
- Mentions and accepted-request alertsMessages, calls and missed calls raise a notification. Being @-mentioned in a group, and somebody accepting your contact request, still raise nothing.missing
Each row is graded against the messenger's own acceptance register, not against an intention. When one of them ships, it leaves this page and appears on What it does — never the other way round.
Two things it deliberately leaves out.
It is not a roadmap: nothing here carries a date, because a date on a list like this is the part people remember and the part nobody can keep. And it is not the security disclosure record — defects found in the substrate are fixed and released before they would ever reach a page like this one, rather than being published while they are still open.
Then you know what you are waiting for.
Tell us which screen you would start on and where you are. We open waves by platform and region, and the row above that is blocking you is the one we will write to you about.
